Support
Quick answers below. If they don't help, email support@lordubslabs.com and a person will reply, usually within five working days.
Scanning
The scan missed items or got them wrong
Scanning uses AI and isn't perfect. Use good light, get the whole shelf or slip in frame, and avoid glare. You can edit, add or remove items in your pantry afterwards.
The app says it can't use the camera
Allow camera access in Android Settings → Apps → FridgeSpin → Permissions. You can also pick a photo from your gallery instead.
Limits and plans
I've hit my daily limit
Each plan has daily and/or monthly limits on scans and meal ideas. Each plan's limits are listed under Settings → Plan. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC (2:00 in South Africa), or you can upgrade.
"Service busy" or "temporarily unavailable"
Our AI providers occasionally hit capacity. Wait a few minutes and try again. You aren't charged a scan for a request that fails.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → FridgeSpin → Cancel. You keep the plan until the end of the period you've paid for. For refunds, see Google Play's refund help, or email us.
Accounts and devices
Do I need an account?
No. FridgeSpin gives you an anonymous account automatically. Create an account (Settings → Account) if you want to keep your plan and pantry when you change phones.
Moving to a new phone
On a paid plan with sync, sign in with the same account on your new phone and your pantry and staples come across. On the free plan, lists are stored only on the phone.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account, or use the web page. It's immediate and permanent.
Food safety
Meal ideas are written by AI and may be wrong. Always check ingredients and allergens yourself, make sure food is fresh, and cook it thoroughly. See section 6 of the terms.
